Strong storms headed to Gasconade, Crawford and Dent Counties

ST. LOUIS, MO – Strong to severe storms turning southeast out of central Missouri heading for Phelps, western Gasconade, Crawford and Dent Counties in MO between 9pm and 1030pm. These storms will be capable of 50 mph winds, lightning and intense rainfall that could easily result in flash flooding.

The FLASH FLOOD WATCH remains in effect for these areas and a warning may be issued quickly once the storms arrive. People who live in flood prone areas of Gasconade, Phelps, Crawford, Washington and Dent counties should be ready move to higher ground quickly before midnight if a warning is issued. Expect 1″ to 2″ of rain with these storms in about an hours time.
