ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Welcome to July!  Unfortunately, it’s the same old song in the weather forecast.  A rainy pattern just won’t break as a soggy 24 hours is on tap.  A cold front approaching from the west means waves of showers and t’storms are in the mix.  The first round of rain is this morning with widespread showers mainly for portions south of I-70.  Clouds remain heavy today but a bit of a drier break arrives for midday-early afternoon before more active weather by this evening.  Scattered t’storms ramp up tonight with a slight risk for a few severe storms.  Again, it will be the southern half in particular that we keep an eye on.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the southwest half of the viewing area (mainly Missouri counties) until Thursday morning.
