HILLSBORO, MO (KTVI) – Sunday night just before 11:30 pm, the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room in Crystal City was reopened. The ground floor of the hospital had sustained significant damage following flash flooding on Wednesday, July 1st that forced the closure of the ER. Several inches of water inundated the hospital causing officials to evacuate patients to other areas of the hospital.
At no time patients needing emergency care turned away from the hospital.
As of now all emergency care patients have been moved back to the hospitals ER.
