TROUTVILLE, VA - A Virginia boy had a birthday party and hundreds of strangers showed up.

But that was a good thing!

His invitation went viral-- and it showed just how many people know it is o-k to be different.

Shayne Dwyer reports.

It's a birthday party kids can only dream of. Camden Eubank turned ten Monday and these people, many of them strangers, are here for him.

"Camden is homeschooled because he has Apraxia which is a speech issue."

Camden doesn't have many friends, and his family didn't know who would come. Close to three-hundred people showed up for the water balloon fight of a lifetime, including one who drove four hours.

"I saw this on Reddit and I just thought it would be a good time to come out and show Camden just because he does have that speech delay doesn't mean that people aren't going to like him."

Camden's family isn't sure who posted it on Reddit, an online message board with billions of page views. The post about Camden’s birthday party, thousands of likes and comments.

"We're just regular old folks, you know, things like that don't happen you know, like that but it is happening."

Gifts poured in from all over the world. Including this special package from the people at Mattel.

"I called my wife and said I don't know what's going on exactly yet, but I said there's 50 or 75 packages at the garage door."

The Troutville Fire Department brought the firepower. Strangers brought thousands of water balloons, and too many cakes to count.

"He is happy, the happiest I've seen him in a long time, because he has people to play with."

These are the moments this family will cherish forever.

"It makes any pains you've got go away, all of that it's a medicine in the sense, the feeling."

Part of Camden’s speech delay is that he easily gets nervous and has a hard time talking under pressure.

But his mom said she could see how much he enjoyed it by the look on his face.
