Backstreets back alright. And no strings attached, NSYNC will be joining them for the ultimate boy band reunion.

Backstreet Boys and NSYNC are setting aside their pop music rivalry to star in a Syfy channel zombie movie called Dead 7.

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter will write and direct the film, who will act alongside Backstreet Boy AJ McLean and NSYNC’s Joey Fatone. According to Entertainment Weekly, the production company promoted the film at San Diego Comic-Con and announced The Asylum, which is the same studio that created Sharknado, is producing the film.

The story of Dead 7 is set in a zombie-plagued small town in the Wild West. And if Nick Carter had his way, the newest generation of boy bands would be included in the film. Nick tweeted at Niall Horan of One Direction, saying “I know we're from different generations but...would you like to play my brother in this zombie movie with me? #Dead7.”

Although Niall may be incredibly busy with his 1D concert tour, here’s hoping the star will make an appearance in Dead 7.

Finally, I can say that the boy bands have quit playing games with my heart and that I cannot wait to see what happens in Dead 7.
