ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Another weekend of violence in St. Louis as at least two people are found in two different shootings.
FOX 2's Shawndrea Thomas spoke to the parent of a 2013 murder victim who says something has got to change.
The murder rate continues to rise in St. Louis just as peace advocates worked to keep the numbers down, over the weekend more homicides were reported.
At around 9:30 Sunday morning a black male in is 20`s was shot multiple times and killed at the 2600 block of Semple near Wabada. A resident found the body in an alley and called police. Then two hours later a woman in her 20's was found slumped over in her car in an alley in the 5900 block of Era, she had been shot several times bringing the St. Louis murder tally to more than 114 .
Ples Barrett's 18-year-old son Trey was murdered in the 1400 block of East Adelade in 2013.
He says the killings are senseless and hopes a solution is found soon before more parents bury their kids.
So far police have not released any further information on Sunday's cases.
Meanwhile the murder of Trey Barrett remains unsolved.
