MOLINE ACRES, MO (KTVI)- Residents in one Moline Acres neighborhood are trapped in their homes Thursday morning. Flash flooding overnight has them stuck although the water has gone down.

Some residents on Berwyn Drive are realizing they may not get to work on time. Many of their cars are stuck in their driveways because their wheels are sandwiched between soggy leftover gravel. Last night's rain washed away pounds of gravel construction crews laid while working on the sewage system. It was just temporary until they repaved everything.

It`s clear they did not anticipate the heavy rains overnight.

The rushing waters sent that gravel downstream, leaving craters and ditches at the end of many driveways.
