Cool temperatures greet large crowds at Walk to End Alzheimer’s

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The St. Louis Walk is being held Saturday at Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis starting at 9 a.m. You can still register on site.

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. More than 110,000 people in Missouri have Alzheimer’s disease and more than 312,000 people in Missouri are providing unpaid care to people with Alzheimer’s disease.

There is also a Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraiser in Washington, MO Saturday. Several other area walks will be held in coming weeks.
