St. Charles police nab 2 suspects in Walmart robbery

ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) - Two men are behind bars accused of robbing a St. Charles Walmart. According to St. Charles city police on September 13th two men robbed the Walmart at the 2897 Veterans Memorial Parkway.  Just before 1 am when 22- year -old Maliq Ale Shabazz and 28 -year- old Michael Daniels allegedly entered the store.

At the same time an employee was emptying out the cash registers for the night and had the cash in bank bags in a shopping cart in preparation for a deposit.

That’s when the two men told the victim that Shabazz had a gun; they quickly grabbed nearly $5,000 in cash and made their getaway.

They ran from the store, jumped into two separate cars and took off.

Shabazz and Daniels are facing strong arm felony robbery charges and were arrested. Our partners at the Post Dispatch are also reporting that both North County men are currently being held at the St. Charles County Jail. There are also other cases of burglary and theft from 2014 listed for Shabazz in St. Louis County.
