ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Cyclists are usually riding, not standing, but today they stand up with St. Louis’ very own Fredbird.

The cross-country cyclists and Fredbird are standing up for cancer. Stand Up To Cancer is a vital group when it comes to the fundraising for cancer research.

Dr. Elaine Mardis is a collaborator with the Stand Up To Cancer “Pancreatic Cancer Dream Team.” As a Siteman Cancer Center researcher, Dr. Mardis discusses some of the pertinent research happening now.

The cyclists prepare to depart on the rest of their ride, raising awareness for cancer research.
