UPDATE: Tuesday’s Cardinals game vs. Pirates postponed due to rain

PITTSBURGH, PA (KTVI) – The St. Louis Cardinals can clinch their third consecutive National League Central Division title with a win Tuesday night over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

With five games remaining in their regular season schedule, the Cardinals have a Major League best 99-58 record. The Central division has hardly been a runaway, though; the Pirates and Chicago Cubs have the second and third best records in all of baseball.

The Pirates sit 4 games behind the Cardinals, while the Cubs are 7.5 back.

Michael Wacha (17-6, 3.15 ERA) will take the mound for this all-important game.

The Cardinals have two games remaining in Pittsburgh before closing out the season in Atlanta against the Braves.
