ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - J. Buck’s Restaurant in Clayton and Joe Buck’s Restaurant downtown will close on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. The owners have decided not to renew the restaurants’ leases when they end due to rising operational costs.

In a statement, owner Doug Albrecht, who bought the restaurants in 2008, called the decision “difficult.”

The two restaurants will go out on a positive note, donating 10% of all sales through Oct. 30 to support St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

J. Buck’s opened in 1999 in Clayton. Joe Buck’s is located in historic Cupples Station not far from Busch Stadium and Scottrade Center.

Lunch and dinner will be served at both restaurants through Oct. 30. Anyone who has a current J. Buck’s or Joe Buck’s gift card in encouraged to come in and watch the Cardinals in postseason. After the restaurants close, anyone who has a gift card that was purchased after Nov. 1, 2008, can mail it to J. Buck’s/Joe Buck’s Restaurants, P.O. Box 12465, St. Louis, MO 6313 2-9998, for a full refund of the remaining balance. Be sure to include your return address.
