CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) _ Passes go on sale Nov. 2 for an annual film festival in Illinois founded by the late movie critic Roger Ebert.

The $150 passes for Ebertfest cover admission to 12 or more movie screenings during the five-day event. The festival champions overlooked films, based on Ebert’s criteria. The 2016 festival is scheduled to run April 13 through 17 at the Virginia Theatre in Champaign.

The lineup will be announced several weeks before the festival.

The University of Illinois College of Media sponsors Ebertfest. Chaz Ebert, Roger’s widow, acts as the festival’s host and executive producer.

Ebert died in April 2013 at age 70. The Pulitzer Prize-winning critic for the Chicago Sun-Times was a native or Urbana and a graduate of the University of Illinois.
