ST. LOUIS (AP) – A St. Louis-area pathology lab that does work for the St. Louis Planned Parenthood chapter didn’t file required registration paperwork last month, missing the state paperwork deadline for the sixth time since 1994.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports a Pathology Services Inc. representative said officials misunderstood the registration process.

The lab came under scrutiny after controversial videos were released in July alleging that Planned Parenthood sold fetal body parts. Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster fund no evidence of wrongdoing but lawmakers have continued investigating.

Pathology Services was administratively dissolved Sept. 21 for failing to file paperwork. It also was dissolved for more than a year three other times.

The lab has been in hot water in Illinois and Iowa for the same reason.
