Centralia man sentenced in meth making conspiracy

BENTON, IL (KTVI) – A member of a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy was sentenced Monday to more than six years in federal prison.

According to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois Stephen Wigginton, 41-year-old David Altom was found guilty of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute meth in Clinton and Marion counties.

Altom was sentenced to 78 months in prison, followed by four years of parole. He was ordered to surrender to the federal prison where he’ll serve his sentence.
