CAHOKIA, IL (KTVI) - The You Paid For It Teams investigates a double-dipping Cahokia Village Trustee and her husband. The pair have a grass cutting contract even though both work for the village.

Trustee Rhonda Wofford sits on the Village Board of Trustee that decides how the village is going to spend it's money. Her husband Ralph is the village's water commissioner

The couple's company, "Four R Lawn" raked in tens of thousands of dollars in a matter of months cutting grass for the Village. Cahokia residents are outraged over this saying it's a conflict of interest.

Mayor Curtis McCall says there's nothing wrong with this deal. Investigator Elliott Davis caught up with the couple at city hall to hear their side of the story but they weren't in a talking mood. The Trustee eventually ran into an office slamming the door behind her.

Residents accuse Village officials of favoritism in granting contracts and say this is one example of a special deal for higher ups.
