ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-The holiday season is here and it will be a busy one for area galleries,  theaters, and concert venues. Two of the most anticipated shows are re-visiting of two classics, Peter and the Starcatcher at the Rep and Wicked, making its fifth run at the Fox Theatre.

But there’s so much more. Look for Cirque Dreams Holidaze, also at the Fox,  with its combination of some 20 acts, 30 performers, 300 costumes, and a 30-foot-tall tree. In a more thoughtful approach to Christmas, Mustard Seed Theatre once again brings you All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914, which won the St. Louis Theatre Circle Award for outstanding musical in 2014.

And if you’re looking for comedy, check out New Jewish Theatre’s “Bad Jews” by Josh Harmon, the story of young-adult cousins who take the occasion of their grandfather’s funeral to lay into each other.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch it all covered in their Holiday Arts Preview this weekend in the A&E section.
