ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Fog and ice are blamed for several crashes in the St. Louis region.

Numerous accidents were reported during Friday morning rush hour on the Lewis Bridge that carries U.S. 67 traffic across the Missouri River between St. Louis and St. Charles counties. Authorities say ice developed on the bridge, creating slippery conditions.

Meanwhile, several crashes were reported on the Poplar Street Bridge, which carries traffic into and out of downtown St. Louis across the Mississippi River.

There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
