Westbound I-70 reopens in St. Charles County; Eastbound remains closed

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- Westbound I-70 reopened Monday morning in St. Charles County.

The highway closed in both directions Sunday between Mid-Rivers Mall Drive and T.R. Hughes Boulevard, near Route 79 and Bryan Road.

The eastbound lanes closed around noon and the westbound lanes closed around 2:30 p.m. due to high water in Dardenne Creek. Alternate routes include Interstate 64/ 40 or Route 364 which connects to  I-270.

Eastbound I-70 is still closed at this time. FOX 2 will keep you updated as details become available.
