VALLEY PARK (KTVI) – MSD says the Grand Glaize Plant is no longer operational. Flood waters just breached the levee and all workers have been ordered out of the area.

It is not clear what the impact of this will be on sewage leaking into the Meramec river.

Workers have put up sandbags to keep floodwater out of the plant over the last several days. They have continued to treat sewage at the plant up until Thursday, even if it is accessible only by boat.
