Dad discovers baby stops crying when Darth Vader’s theme from Star Wars plays

One parent may have found Darth Vader and Kylo Ren’s next recruit to stop the Rebel Alliance with an unconventional method to calm his crying infant. Eli suddenly stops screamingand becomes completely mesmerized when listening to the iconic “Imperial March” from the Star Wars films.

KABC-TV reports that the 11-week-old had just got his his first round of immunizations. His father, Micah Hayman, is a huge Star Wars fan. He didn’t know what to do to soothe the upset child. When the new dad played the John William’s theme from the movie he says, “He stopped crying as soon as it started playing.”

The proud papa posted the clip to YouTube on Thursday with the caption, “I figured out the Imperial March calms my son when he is crying. #parentingdoneright.”

Hayman says that he hopes that Eli will become a Star Wars fan when he gets older. He hopes that his son doesn’t drift to the dark side.
