Jennings Superintendent accepts job in Topeka Kansas

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Jennings Superintendent who helped turn around the struggling district is leaving for a new job. Tiffany Anderson has accepted the Superintendent position in Topeka Kansas.

Anderson started in Jennings in 2012 while the district was facing financial and academic challenges. Now, the district has a balanced budget and full accreditation. The graduation rate at Jennings High School is 93 percent which is higher than the
state rate.

Anderson will be the first African American woman to lead the Topeka School District. She says she's proud of the work that was accomplished in Jennings and believes the district will continue to thrive with good leadership.

Anderson is leaving the district in June.
