ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Missouri state lawmakers are debating a bill that is aimed at keeping school bus stops away from the homes of registered sex offenders.

It would require school bus stops to be located at least 500 feet from the residence of a registered sex offender.

School officials would also have to notify parents if they couldn’t find an alternative.
