In Your Neighborhood- Boys Hope Girls Hope in Richmond Heights

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MO. (KTVI)- Richmond Heights will be home to the Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis as early as mid-May.

Lisa Hart spoke with Deacon Farrelly at the construction site and future home of the organization. Boys Hope Girls Hope STL is currently located in Creve Coeur, Mo.

The mission for Boys Hope Girls Hope STL is to help academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college. In the program, children are known as 'scholars'.

The St. Louis program currently has 84 scholars in their residential program. Deacon Farrelly said he estimates within four years they will have 160 scholars in the program.

The Richmond Heights location is expected to be complete by mid-April, with services beginning by mid-May.
