STAUNTON, IL – Actor and comedian Bill Murray was in St. Louis for the NCAA tournament games at Scottrade Center. His son is an assistant coach for Xavier University’s basketball team.

One lucky fan got to meet Murray on his way into town. Hope Robertson got a selfie and some ice cream during a stop at a Dairy Queen in Staunton.

The image immediately went viral in the town of 5,000 people.  Staunton is about 40 miles northeast of St. Louis.

Robertson says he was nice and, “down to earth.”  She explains how she and friends met the star, “We followed him out to his car and we asked for a photo and we shook hands and joked around and he shoved ice cream in my friends face”

Hope Robertson posted this Facebook status update:

“WE JUST MET BILL MURRAY AT STAUNTON DQ. I FEEL LIKE TALLAHASSEE FROM ZOMBIELAND. LIFE IS COMPLETE.”

The Musketeers fell to the Badgers last night 66-63. Who knows where Bill Murray will stop on his way out of St. Louis.
