Blues players David Backes and Jake Allen to miss rest of regular season

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The Blues have announced that forward David Backes and goaltender Jake Allen will miss the remainder of the regular season with lower-body injuries.

Backes, 31, has dressed in all 79 games this season, ranking second on the club with 21 goals and fourth with 45 points overall. Allen, 25, has appeared in 47 games this season, posting a 26-15-3 record.

Both players will be re-evaluated at the end of the regular season before the playoffs.
