Brandon Phillips, Zack Cozart and Jay Bruce had two RBIs apiece for the Cincinnati Reds, who erased an early four-run deficit against St. Louis ace Adam Wainwright in a 9-8 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday at Busch Stadium. Today marked Wainwright's third start of the young season and was his worst uet, allowing seven runs in five and a third innings pitched. For the season, Wainwright has an 0-2 record with a 8.27 ERA.
Stephen Piscotty had four RBIs for the Cardinals, including a three-run homer, his second of the season, giving St. Louis a 4-0 lead. The Reds then reeled off eight straight runs before the Cardinals began their comeback. A two run home run by Brandon Moss, his 4th of the year, cut the Reds lead to 9-8, but that's as close as the Cardinals (6-5) could get.
