Florissant family offers reward for stolen dogs worth $3,000

FLORRISANT, MO (KTVI) - Two dogs were allegedly stolen out of a family's back yard. They are asking for the public's help to bring them back.

The dogs we're talking about aren't just any old mut. They cost upwards of $3,000 each. That's why when the Ramirez family dogs went missing they filed a police report with county police. The family says the dogs didn't run away, they were stolen from their own back yard. They say they have proof.

The breed is know as American Bully. The female has a blue coat. The male is tan and dark brown.

Bitalia Ramirez says when it started raining Thursday, she went to the back yard to call them inside. They were nowhere to be seen. Then she says she noticed strange footprints on the porch and muddy tracks on the corner of the fence by the tree.  She called police and they even found a dogs paw prints on the opposite side of the fence. She says someone took her family dogs.

"I'm mad and I'm sad. Because it's part of the family I'm wondering where they are, if they are with good people, bad people, just wondering what hopefully Bette safe not suffering." said Bitalia Ramirez.

The Ramirez family wants whomever may have the pups to bring them back. They plan on hanging posters and checking with local animal shelters.They are offering a $1,000 reward, $500 for each dog.
