GREENVILLE, MO –  The search for a missing Poplar Bluff woman is over.  Wayne County Sheriff Dean Finch tells KFVS-TV that Kelly Holcomb was found.  Authorities have taken her to the hospital.

It is not clear what her current condition is or why she went missing.  A Facebook page set up to find her says, “Anyone that knows Kelly, knows it isn’t like her to to just take off into the dark woods alone. ”

Police were searching for the 36-year-old for the last two days. Holcomb was last seen walking south of Greenville, MO on Hwy. 67 near County Road 546 Wednesday night.

The Missouri Highway Patrol has been working with the Wayne County Sheriff’s office on the investigation. Sheriff Dean Finch tells KFVS-TV that he is not sure if foul play is suspected in this case.

A Missouri Department of Transportation worker found Holcomb’s phone Thursday morning. It was found on the side of the road near Missionary Baptist Church. The MoDOT worker gave the phone to the pastor of that church. He says someone called the phone on Friday morning asking for Kelly. The phone has since been turned in to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department at 573-224-3219.
