ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – One man is now in custody, but two remain on the loose after St. Louis County Police chased down suspects wanted in a string of weapons robberies.

FOX 2 has been told the incident all unfolded around 5:30 Wednesday morning when investigators observed a white Chrysler 300 in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart near Lindbergh and New Halls Ferry.

The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle wanted for several break-ins, including the thefts of various stolen handguns and credit cards in Alton, Brentwood, Shrewsbury and St. Louis.

One of our undercover officers was working a separate detail in North County observed the vehicle that matched the description. Investigators say the Chrysler 300 was reported stolen out of St. Charles County and had stolen license plates out of St. Louis City  "That's the scary thing that we have to deal with ,when every firearms are taken by criminals we don't know where those firearms end up ," said Sgt. McGuire.

We are told when officers located the vehicle, the wanted Chrysler and suspects sped away.  "A undercover detective in an unmarked police vehicle and suspect hit that vehicle. Lucky our officer was outside the vehicle. The vehicle continued driving on Lindbergh, where he later crashed into another vehicle, then all suspects fled on foot," said McGuire.

After a short foot pursuit, officers arrested the main suspect, 28-year-old Jordan Parker by using a taser to make the arrest.  Two handguns were retrieved from the vehicle.

Parker has been charged with leaving the scent of accident and resisting arrest.
