ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- A bit of history returns to our area. Replicas of Christopher Columbus' 15th century ships , The Nina and Pinta, are docked in Grafton, Illinois.  Nina's Captain, Stephen Sanger, joined us live from his ship to explain.

The ships will be docked at the loading dock restaurant, 401 Front Street, until their departure on Monday June 6th. The Nina was built by hand and without the use of power tools. It's considered to be the most historically correct Columbus replica ever built.

Admission is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors and $6.00 for students ages 5 - 16. Children 4 and under are free.

The ships are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

No reservations are required.
