ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Two renowned area drink makers are teaming up for a trendy adult beverage. Fitz’s Hard Root Beer is a collaboration between O’Fallon Brewery and Fitz’s Bottling Company. The new brew is available at stores in Missouri and Illinois and is on draft at Fitz’s Restaurant and O’Fallon’s O’Bar.

The beer is brewed with malted barley, caramel malt, hops and yeast. During the final stage of brewing, a special blend of Fitz’s Root Beer made with all-natural pure cane sugar, sassafras roots, vanilla, and a spice blend is added to capture Fitz’s distinct and creamy flavor. The beer is 5.0 percent alcohol by volume.

Fitz’s new Hard Root Beer is brewed and bottled in Maryland Heights at O’Fallon’s new 40,000 square-foot brewery.
