MOLINE ACRES, MO (KTVI) - The Moline Acres Police Department is investigating the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old with help from St. Louis County Police Department. Meanwhile, family members, still grieving over the loss of a loved one, are pleading with the shooter to turn himself in.

Moline Acres police found the body of Deon Smith in the driveway of his mother's home in the 9800 block of Wendell around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday. Relatives said he was the victim of a drive-by shooting.

Smith's aunt, Paris Drake, said this wasn't the first time he was targeted.

"He was shot a couple of months ago. And I think whoever did it did not finish the job. And they made sure they did this time," she said.

Police have not identified any suspects or a possible motive in the shooting thus far.
