ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - Carolyn Dawson is hunting for her daughter's killer.

Twenty-two-year-old Kadesha Dawson was found shot to death in her car in an alley near the 5900 block of Era on the morning of August 2, 2015. Kadesha had no criminal record.

"I'm doing this for my child (she) didn't deserve to die a violent death like that,” Carolyn said. "I don't know who would do something that horrible to my daughter. And my daughter deserves justice."

Kadesha's boyfriend, 23-year-old Dorian Valentine, was found shot and killed nearby on Semple. Carolyn thinks Kadesha witnessed her boyfriend's murder and was then driven to the other location and killed.

"I'm thinking it was one of his friends; another bum that didn't have a car and drove her back to that point," Carolyn said.

CrimeStoppers is offering up to a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. Carolyn has put up $5,000 of her own money as well; a lot of money for the retired probations office worker.

"Nothing could bring her back. But I think that as a mother and—she knows me—that I will fight to the end to bring justice,” she said.
