CREVE COEUR, MO (KTVI) - Summer thunderstorms popped up in the afternoon heat and humidity.  A couple of these storms produced small down-rushing air bursts called microbursts.  These are often only in the 40 to 50 mph range.  However, the one that hit Creve Coeur this afternoon appears to have peaked between 60 and 70 mph.

Most of the damage was in the Ladue Oaks Subdivision which is about a half mile west of I-270 off Ladue Road in Creve Coeur.
