Many attend ‘JB Blast’ fireworks to skip the rain

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - It's a patriotic celebration. There is plenty of red white and blue in the crowd and plenty of sunshine. The Us Air Force Band of Mid America attracted a big crowd wanting to celebrate Independence Day Just in case predicted rain washes away any weekend fireworks.

The Ampitheatre at Jefferson Barracks Park provides shelter for the band. Some of the park visitors who came out Friday to see fireworks wanted to enjoy the holiday while staying dry.

The forecast is not calling for rain the entire weekend but some visitors say they just didn't want to take any chances missing fireworks.
