Just one St. Louis Cardinal will be going to the Major League Baseball All-Star game on July 12th in San Diego, CA. But that one player has been their best player so far this season. Infielder Matt Carpenter was selected by NL manager Terry Collins. Carpenter is hitting .305 with 14 home runs and 53 RBI. It will be Carpenter's third All-Star appearance. Catcher Yadier Molina did not win the on-line fan voting. losing out to Giants catcher Buster Posey. Molina was not selected as a reserve catcher. The National League lineup features five Cubs, Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist, Addison Russell, Kris Bryant and Dexter Fowler.
