St. Louis man kills mother, step-father before turning gun on himself

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The deaths of three people inside a north St. Louis home has been determined to be a murder/ suicide.  Around 3:50am Tuesday, St. Louis police responded to a home in the 5500 block of Era, near Goodfellow and West Florissant Avenue.

Officers arrived and found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. All were pronounced dead on the scene.

The victims are Reginald Wilkes, 59, and Eunice Cain, 60, who both lived at the home.  The suspect is identified as 44-year-old Kenneth Murray, of the 4200 block of Penrose. Murray is Cain's son and Wilkes' stepson.

Murray shot both victims then turned the gun on himself.

Two guns were recovered from the scene.  The investigation into the incident continues.
