Two women struck, killed by Amtrak train in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Two women were struck and killed by an Amtrak train late Monday while on the railroad tracks in south St. Louis. The accident happened at Kingshighway and Manchester around 11:30 p.m.

Jaclyn Landow, 20, and Olivia Mares, also 20, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed the victims were seated on the train tracks when the eastbound train struck them.

Union Pacific Railroad Police and Amtrak Police also responded to the scene.
