THE WEATHER DISCO:
St. Swithin’s Day is 15 July, a day on which people watch the weather for tradition says that whatever the weather is like on St. Swithin’s Day, it will continue so for the next forty days. St. Swithin (or more properly, Swithun) was a Saxon Bishop of Winchester.
.
There is your little bit of weather lore for the day…not a lot of change in the overall pattern…The see-saw pattern of heat and humidity and the northwest flow….the good news we open up into the northerly flow for the next two days…resulting in slightly better temps and humidity…slightly… and still a chance of a spot storm…but limited and tough to find. Sunday…the dome of summer builds back in…with plenty of heat and humidity and still spot storms Sunday and well into next week.
