SOUTH COUNTY, MO (KTVI)-Ameren crews in Missouri and Illinois have been working overnight for a second straight day trying to restore power after Wednesday's storms. As of 5:39 a.m., more than 28,000 homes in Missouri and 15,000 in Illinois are still without power.

Ameren says it hopes to have all power restored by tonight.

Our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch report a power outage at River City Casino forced the cancellation of a Graham Nash concert last night.

In Centreville, Illinois, trees damaged the roof at City Hall on Wednesday causing water to pour inside during last night's storms. Still, the building has power and air conditioning.

The city handed out flyers, letting people know the building was available for residents without power. They also provided free food and drinks.

It will be open again from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday.
