Julie Piekarski returns to St. Louis in comedy film

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - St. Louis plays a role and is the inspiration for a new movie that will be screened this Sunday night at the Tivoli theater as part of the 16th annual Whitaker St. Louis Filmakers Showcase.

“The Importance of Doubting Tom”, is a romantic screwball comedy by Vanessa Roman. The film tells the story of Gwen’s breaks up after she met a guy at Blueberry Hill Dart Tournament  Delmar Loop

The movie features St. Louis connections, like Julie Piekarski, who plays Sally.

You may recognize Julie from her role on the TV show “Facts of Life”, the late 70s revival of the Mickey Mouse Club, and as an entertainment reporter at KPLR 11.

She joins us at Fox 2 to tell us about the film screening. Tickets are $13 each; $10 for students and Cinema St. Louis members.
