Second power outage at Lambert Airport causing some delays

LAMBERT ST. LOUIS AIRPORT (KTVI) - Sunday Lambert St. Louis Airport suffered a second power outage for the month of July.  A spokesperson for the airport said several gates in the C Concourse of Terminal 1 and about half the gates at Terminal 2 were affected by the outage.

Representatives for American and Southwest Airlines said they were accessing the situation and working around the power outage.  Both airlines are expecting some delays for both inbound and outbound flights Sunday night.

The Transportation Security Administration reports no problems with passenger screening or security operations at Lambert.

Jeff Lea a spokesperson for Lambert Airport said back-up systems were operating at the airport.

Ameren Missouri has crews on site at the airport and at a sub-station that feeds the airport trying to determine why a feeder line was tripped.

At last report both Terminal 1 and 2 have had power restored.
