MOLINE ACRES, MO (KTVI) – The Moline Acres Police Department is investigating shots fired that damaged a home and van on Portage Drive.

A spokesperson for the department tells Fox 2 that 4 shots were fired at the occupied home Sunday.

When officers arrived on the scene they contacted a person in the home.  As they were talking to that person, a small gray vehicle came down the street and fired 4 to 5 shots.  The gun fire was not directed at the officer or at any particular home.

When the occupants of the vehicle saw the police officers, they made a U-turn in the street driving through several lawns heading back in the direction they had come.

Moline Acres officers gave chase, but lost the vehicle at the Riverview Circle.

Officers were able to collect 4 shell casings from the scene on Portage Drive that will be sent to the St. Louis County Crime Lab for analysis.

No one was injured, nor any property or vehicles damaged.

At this time police don’t know if both shootings are related or separate incidents.
