ALTON, IL (KTVI) - Police and state authorities are looking into the death of a baby, found unresponsive at her babysitter's home. police and state investigators say the death is incredibly tragic. So far, state investigators do not suspect foul play.

Police were called to the 100 block of Tara Court - in the Enchanted Village mobile home community around 9:30am Friday. A spokeswoman for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services says a 7-month old girl was found unresponsive.

The babysitter does not operate a licensed day-care. Police say there were 8 other children in the home, ages 9-months to 17-years-old. DCFS is investigating the child's mother and the babysitter for possible neglect. But this is not a child abuse investigation.
