ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) - Bill Levan has owned his landscaping and lawn business in Florissant area since 2002. He says his 20 employees work hard to keep it going.
That all changed on April 21st when thieves broke into his business on Mehl Avenue. They took blowers, trimmers and other expensive lawn equipment from his trucks. It didn't stop there. Thieves continued to cut into his business. On July 19th they came back and did the same thing.
"You can only submit to insurance so much. If I do it again, they are going to cancel me." said Levan.
Levan says he's lost more than $20,000 So far. It is putting his business at risk of shutting down.
"This is something that can make me stop. I don't want to do that. I have a lot of people who depend on this. I have a lot of people, customers, to do what we need to every week," said Levan.
We spoke to St. Louis County Police and they say are still actively investigating the case and following leads.
"I just want to work, get my stuff done. I want my customers to be happy, and that's it," said Levan.
