ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The Muny’s upcoming production of Fiddler on the Roof will feature the world stage premiere of a new song.  “Any Day Now,” will be sung by the character Perchik in Act Two replacing “Now I Have Everything.” The song was originally written for the 1971 film by Jerry Bock (music) and Sheldon Harnick (lyrics).

The Muny’s Fiddler on the Roof is being directed by Gary Griffin, who discovered the song in 2014 while working with Sheldon Harnick on an evening about Fiddler’s creation and history in New York. Harnick told him he had always wanted to see it put into a stage version. Now, he’s given The Muny permission to use the song.

Harnick is coming to St. Louis to see the production. While here, he will be inducted into the Muny Hall of Fame.

Fiddler on the Roof runs July 30 – August 5.  Single show tickets are now on sale daily at The Muny Box Office from 9am – 9pm and online at MetroTix.com.
