ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster will be the Democratic nominee for governor in the general election this fall.
The Associated Press called the race for Koster just before 9 p.m.
Koster defeated Eric Morrison, Leonard Steinman, and Charles B. Wheeler in Tuesday’s primary.
The attorney general will face Eric Greitens in November, who clinched the Republican primary. Koster will have nearly $11 million in his campaign war chest for the general election.
The current governor, Jay Nixon, is leaving office after serving two terms.
