ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Hatz 4 Hearts believes that a simple gesture can go a long way.  That's why volunteers and donors are collecting hats and funds to support cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.  Their thinking?  "Give a hat; warm a heart."

Acknowledging that hair loss is one of the toughest effects of chemotherapy, founder Nicole Robinson came up with the idea of Hatz 4 Hearts.  As a breast cancer patient herself, she knows the long journey all too well.

Hatz 4 Hearts will be in attendance for a mammogram screening event taking place this weekend.  Women are encouraged to get screened at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.  Mammograms will be offered at no price this Sunday, August 14 from 1:00-5:00 P.M.
