Redbirds Sports Bar to host fundraiser for Officer Tudor

14203237_1302070676507303_4509091588440865437_nHAZELWOOD, MO (KTVI) - Backstoppers announced they are providing financial assistance to a Hazelwood officer critically injured in a car accident August 25th.

Officer Craig Tudor was hurt when a car hit his while he was responding to an emergency call.

Officer Tudor suffered a spinal injury during the crash.

Tudor’s wife has been telling friends his recovery is a day to day process.

She said he is able to move his arms but according to the neurologist it is unlikely that he will regain the use of his legs.

Community member Bill Peipers and the Hazelwood Police Wives Associations are organizing a fundraiser for Tudor.

The fundraiser is Saturday September 3rd at Redbirds Sports Bar from 11 am until close.

"We are going to have kids activities from 11 until 5, we are going to have fire truck a bounce house pony rides face painting all the parking lot activities are going to take place until 5 pm, then inside we are going to have silent raffle items going on that will be all day and after 5 we will continue to party inside," said Peipers.

Peiper said they are still collecting auction and raffle items for the event.
